In the last part of 2023 and the start of 2024, India's economy did really well. It grew by 8.4%, which is a big jump from what people thought. This shows that India's economy kept getting stronger, even after growing by more than 8% in the last two parts of the year.

The latest info from the government says that for the whole year of FY24, the economy's growth is now expected to be 7.6%, up from the earlier guess of 7.3%.

Fueled by big money from businesses and more spending on services, the economy grew even faster in the third quarter than expected by India's central bank. The Reserve Bank of India had forecasted the economy to grow by 7% for the whole year, with the third quarter at 6.5% and the fourth quarter at 6%. But the actual growth surpassed those estimates.
