High-Stakes Drama Unfolds as Five-Judge Bench Convenes Special Session on SBI's Plea for Extension in Electoral Bonds Case!

The Association for Democratic Reforms has taken legal action against SBI by filing a contempt plea. This matter is set to be heard on March 11, alongside the application before the Bench.

The highest court in the country is going to look at a request made by the State Bank of India (SBI) on March 11. The SBI asked the top court last week to give them more time until June 30 to share information about every electoral bond cashed by political parties.
ADR argues that SBI intentionally submitted the application on March 4, 2024, just before the Lok Sabha elections to hide donor details and donation amounts. They also claim that SBI hasn't revealed any progress or steps taken to follow the court's judgment.
