As per holidays list of the domestic stock market, there are two market holidays in April 2024 and these are 11th April, 2024 i.e. today and 17 th April, 2024.So next week also all the trading activities on BSE,NSE will remain closed on Wednesday on account of Ramnavami festival. After Ramnavami there will be no more holidays in April, 2024.
In May, 2024, previously ,there was only one trading holiday fixed on May 1 due to May day and Maharashtra day celebration. But the Indian Government has announced the 20th May as a central holiday due to the Loksabha Election. So, we will see two stock market holidays in the month of May, 2024.
We will witness in the coming two months
i.e. June and July, 2024, only one holiday in each month. On 17th June, the stock market will be closed due to Bakdi Eid and in July 17,2024,the share market will be closed due to Muharram.
Next stock market holiday on August, 15,2024,Thursday, due to Independence Day. On 2nd October, 2024,Wednesday, stock market will remain closed due to Gandhi Jayanti.
Indian share market will remain closed on November 15,2024,Friday due to Gurunanak Jayanti.
Domestic exchanges will remain closed on 25th December, 2024,Wednesday on account of Christmas,
Indian benchmark indices closed in the green on 10th April due to buying action seen in different sectors, among them, Metal, FMCG and Energy has shown stunning action. The sensex closed at 75,038.15 increased by 354,45 points or 0.47%, The Nifty 50 marked a new high of 22775.70 and stopped at 22744.05,up by 101.30 points or 0.45%.
